Preschool Teacher – $500 Sign-On Bonus!

The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a caring and dedicated Preschool Teacher with a NJ P-3, CE, or CEAS certification. Join our team in Perth Amboy, five miles from New York City, serving a community of 6,000 members through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility programs.

Under the direction of the Preschool Director, the Preschool Teacher creates a safe, nurturing learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. Using age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with our YMCA values of Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, Respect, and Faith, the Preschool Teacher fosters positive relationships, promotes inclusion, and collaborates with a Teacher Assistant and team members to ensure a high-quality early childhood program.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise and engage children, ages 3–5.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Track and communicate children’s progress.
• Promote inclusion and model YMCA core values.

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary:  $50,000–$54,000 annually (10-month academic year)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (or related field) with NJ P-3, CE, or CEAS certification.
• Experience teaching Pre-K children, preferably in a daycare or early childhood setting.

Salary : $50,000 - $54,000
