Rare Beauty donates 1% of all Rare Beauty sales to the Rare Impact Fund. In addition, it raises additional funds with foundations, corporate partners, individuals, and our community to reach our goal.


The position is employed by Rare Beauty and the position provides direct support to the Rare Impact Fund, an independent non-profit organization, fiscally sponsored by the Hopewell Fund. It sits within the Social Impact team at Rare Beauty and reports to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, Rare Impact Fund.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Rare Impact Fund is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Corporate Partnerships & Events to lead and grow our corporate fundraising and fundraising events portfolio, including our signature Rare Impact Fund Benefit. This role is responsible for achieving annual corporate fundraising and event revenue goals, including sponsorships, underwriting, cause marketing partnerships, ticket sales, auction revenue, and donor engagement initiatives.


The ideal candidate is a strategic fundraiser and event leader with a proven track record of personally securing six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships, cultivating executive-level relationships, and leading complex, revenue-generating events, including intimate and innovative donor dinners and cocktail hours. This person brings strong strategic instincts, exceptional relationship management and event production skills, and experience working with high-profile talent, celebrities, influencers, and VIP stakeholders.


Mental health expertise and experience working in both a non-profit and corporate setting are preferred. Experience in non-profits is a must.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnerships strategy to drive sponsorship revenue, long-term partnerships, and mission alignment, including cause marketing campaigns, commercial co-ventures, and integrated brand partnerships
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward existing and new corporate sponsors and partners across multiple industries with direct responsibility for closing high-value sponsorships and partnership agreements
  • Manage the full sponsorship lifecycle, including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, activation, renewal, stewardship, and reporting
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and board members to support fundraising priorities and partner engagement
  • Create customized partnership opportunities and compelling sponsorship packages tied to events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives, including integrated fundraising campaigns, consumer-facing activations, and cause-driven marketing initiatives
  • Maintain an active prospect pipeline, forecast revenue, and track partnership performance against annual fundraising goals
  • Work cross functionally with brand teams including Brand Partnerships, Consumer / Social Marketing, Influencer /PR and Creative teams


Events & Gala Leadership

  • Lead the fundraising strategy, planning, and execution of events as a key driver of the organization’s annual revenue goals, including the signature gala, prospective donor dinners, experiential events, and corporate activations
  • Own and track gross revenue, expenses, and net revenue for the annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, including corporate sponsorships, table and ticket sales, Host Committee fundraising, auctions, paddle raise strategy, and other event-based revenue opportunities; provide regular forecasts and progress updates to leadership
  • Partner with external event design and production teams to oversee all aspects of the annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, including budgeting, logistics, ticketing, activations, auctions, vendor management, guest experience, sponsorship fulfillment, and onsite execution
  • Cultivate and steward corporate executives, brand leaders, table hosts, event guests, and other influential stakeholders to drive participation and develop long-term partnership opportunities
  • Manage intimate donor dinners and cultivation events from concept through follow-up and reporting, ensuring exceptional execution and the cultivation and conversion of high-value corporate prospects and event supporters
  • Partner with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to deliver high-quality, brand-aligned donor dinners, activations, and cultivation events
  • Develop innovative event concepts and experiences that deepen partner engagement, inspire giving, and elevate organizational visibility

Talent & VIP Relations

  • Serve as a key liaison for high-profile founder, celebrity supporters, influencers, hosts, and VIP guests participating in events and campaigns, leveraging talent engagement to drive fundraising outcomes, sponsorship visibility, and donor engagement
  • Manage talent relations with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Coordinate talent logistics, briefing materials, schedules, hospitality, and onsite experiences
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with talent representatives, agents, managers, and publicists.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and manage event a high-performing corporate partnerships and events team, including staff, consultants, agencies, and production partners, with accountability for revenue generation partner stewardship and event execution excellence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, marketing, communications, and executive leadership teams
  • Support board and volunteer committee engagement for fundraising events and partnerships, leveraging their networks to secure corporate sponsors, table hosts, ticket purchasers, auction support, and other event-based contributions
  • Ensure all events and partnerships reflect organizational values, brand standards, and strategic priorities
  • Additional responsibilities as required


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • 8–10 years of experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising events, with demonstrated success personally closing six- and seven-figure corporate sponsorships and partnerships
  • Proven success building and managing a corporate prospect pipeline, forecasting revenue, and meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale fundraising galas and high-profile events for non-profits
  • Demonstrated experience working with celebrity talent, influencers, executives, and VIP stakeholders
  • Experience developing and executing cause marketing campaigns and commercial co-venture (CCVs) partnerships strongly preferred
  • Strong network and relationship-building skills with corporate leaders and partners
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success partnering with major donors, board members, and executive stakeholders in a fundraising context
  • Strategic thinker with strong business development instincts.
