Maybe you're someone who loves experimenting with your personal brand, writing, brainstorming content ideas, or finding creative ways to connect with audiences online.
We're looking for a passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented Content Marketing Assistant who sees marketing as more than just checking tasks off a list.
You'll support our team through copywriting, social media engagement, and content execution in a primarily remote role. As your skills develop, you'll have opportunities to expand into hands-on content production, short-form video creation, and occasional in-person client shoots alongside our CEO.
What You'll Do
- Content Copywriting: Write engaging, platform-optimized social media captions, email newsletters, marketing campaigns, and SEO-aligned blog articles that reflect each client's unique brand voice.
- Email Marketing: Assist with writing, formatting, and scheduling email campaigns, including refining AI-assisted drafts into authentic, audience-focused messaging.
- Social Media Engagement: Support organic community growth through thoughtful audience interactions, comment responses, and story engagement across client accounts.
- Content Scheduling & Publishing: Organize, schedule, and publish approved content while maintaining accurate content calendars.
- Quality Assurance: Review copy, visuals, and scheduled content against approved brand guidelines, onboarding materials, and client marketing strategies.
- Creative Collaboration: Contribute fresh ideas and collaborate with our team to execute compelling marketing content.
- Project Management & Communication: Maintain updated tasks and deadlines in Notion, stay responsive on Slack, and proactively communicate progress or potential delays.
- Creative Development: As skills develop, assist with short-form video creation, editing, and occasional local client content shoots.
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, social media, or a related field.
- Strong writing, storytelling, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing, and basic SEO writing.
- A genuine passion for marketing, creativity, and personal or professional development.
- A proactive, organized, and dependable team player who takes ownership of their work.
- Comfortable using Canva, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
- Bonus: Experience with content creation, CapCut, Notion, or managing a personal brand or creative project.
Compensation & Growth
This part-time position offers 15–20 hours per week at a starting rate of $22/hour, following an initial training period of approximately 10 hours per week.
We offer a 90-day performance review and potential growth to $25/hour within 6 months, based on demonstrated skills, reliability, and expanded creative responsibilities. Pay increases are performance-based and not guaranteed.
Schedule & Communication
This position is primarily remote, with occasional opportunities for in-person content shoots throughout the Kansas City metro area as responsibilities grow. We value timely responses during scheduled working hours, accurate task tracking, and proactive communication regarding deadlines or potential delays.
