What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Shop Labor/Entry Level Fabrication position at Raptor Tech Inc?
We are a manufacturer located in Downers Grove and are looking for a general shop laborer with the opportunity to grow into an entry-level welding/machining position.
This is a great position for people starting out in the industry and looking to gain hands-on experience. There is a lot of potential for growth and learning. We always work as a team, so being a team player is essential for this position.
Raptor Tech is a company that specializes in fabrication for the crane and rigging industry - we are always working on new and exciting projects!
Skills required:
- Forklift operation
- Safely operate hand tools, shop tools, devices, and general shop equipment
- Plasma torch cutting and grinding
- Perform basic fit up operation in preparation for welding
- Knowledge of shop math
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Assembly
- Machining
- Welding
- Fabrication
Requirements:
- This is a job that will require frequent bending, kneeling, lifting and handling along with standing for long periods of time.
- Have a positive work attitude
- Be able to work in a team atmosphere
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks in a timely manner
- Show up on time and ready to work
Salary:
- Competitive hourly rate
- Dependent on individuals experience, knowledge, and position they receive
- Regular work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime when needed
