Duties
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by setting up formwork, rebar installation, and ensuring proper placement according to blueprints and technical drawings.
- Interpret construction plans and blueprint specifications to execute tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks.
- Conduct concrete cutting and formwork construction while adhering strictly to safety protocols and construction workplace safety regulations.
- Support heavy lifting activities and assist with the installation of rebar and other structural components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures, inspecting tools for proper operation, and reporting hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in concrete work including concrete power tools, and hand tools.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork skills; ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining safety standards.
