Position Overview:
The Associate Field Technician (AFST) supports the maintenance, startup, troubleshooting, and servicing of Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), and Remote Power Panels (RPPs) manufactured by Raptor Power Systems. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to develop their technical expertise while working under the guidance of experienced Field Service Technicians.
This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites and offers a structured career path with the opportunity to be promoted to Field Service Technician (FST) after one year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Startup & Commissioning: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new power distribution equipment under direct supervision or remote guidance.
- Maintenance & Repair: Support the maintenance and emergency servicing of PDUs, UPSs, and RPPs at customer locations.
- Troubleshooting: Initiate basic troubleshooting procedures with guidance from senior technicians and the technical support team.
- Field Modifications: Learn to implement field modifications by following established procedures and providing feedback as necessary.
- Training & Development: Participate in structured training sessions at Raptor Power Systems headquarters to gain technical expertise on OEM equipment and industry standards.
- Field Service Reporting: Assist in generating clear, professional, and timely Field Service Reports (FSRs) with coaching from experienced team members.
