Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide database administration and support for Oracle Database 11g and 12c environments.
- Perform all core database management and administration activities, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Oracle database physical structure, overall architecture, and performance analysis.
- Conduct database planning, scaling, and capacity planning to support enterprise growth.
- Design databases and data models; manage index creation, database optimization, and performance tuning.
- Support and participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain:
- Oracle Data Guard
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
- Oracle ACFS
- Oracle GoldenGate
- Perform and configure RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to support application performance and data integrity.
- Follow and support ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.
Required Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance)
- Bachelor s Degree in a technical or business-related field
- 7 years of experience in a Development or Service Administration role
- 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Hands-on experience performing and configuring RMAN backup and recovery
- Experience working closely with development teams (5 years)
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Installations, and Oracle RAC
- Exposure to ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
