What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Court Surveillance Officer position at Rappahannock Regional Jail?
The Rappahannock Regional Jail is seeking a Part-Time Recovery Court Surveillance Officer. Duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors and tests individuals for compliance to Recovery Court requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Covered under EEOC section CM-625, Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications, this announcement is for a male Recovery Court Surveillance Officer.
Essential Functions:
- Interviews program participants.
- Collects urine specimens and breath samples.
- Checks and analyzes specimens for the presence of illegal or mood-altering substances.
- Prepares and enters data and documentation of information collected.
- Coordinates monitoring services and dissemination of data with appropriate staff and agencies.
- Monitors area court records for subsequent participant offenses.
- Participates in Recovery Court team meetings.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Education / Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and some experience in protective services work.
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Applicant must pass a criminal background, Drug Test, DMV check and polygraph examination.
