Job Title: Emergency Medical Responder Instructor
Reports to: Principal
Type of position: Non-Exempt Salary Schedule
Rappahannock County High School is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) for one class block daily.
The EMR course introduces students to emergency medical systems and prepares them to provide immediate, life-saving care while awaiting additional EMS resources. Additional course topics include:

Introduction to EMS systems and responder roles

Anatomy and physiology

Medical emergencies
-
Trauma care
-
Special considerations in the pre-hospital setting
Successful completion may qualify students to pursue the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMR exam.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction to RCHS students in a flexible, part-time format.
- Collaborate with RCHS staff and administrators to ensure alignment with school curriculum goals and state standards.
- Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters student growth and learning.
- Maintain regular communication with students, families, and school staff
Qualifications
We are seeking individuals who are credentialed and have demonstrated expertise in emergency response and the medical field.
Salary Scale: Adjunct Salary Scale
