What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design methodology development engineer (Benchmark and DTCO) position at Rapidus Corporation US?
- Role Overview:
You will be responsible for building and optimizing cutting-edge digital design flows for the 2nm GAA process.
By leveraging benchmark data and performing PPA evaluations, you will drive Design Technology Co-Optimization
(DTCO) to establish a highly competitive design environment. A key part of this role involves the development
and continuous refinement of evaluation cell libraries to maximize the potential of the 2nm process.
- Key Responsibilities:
・Develop and refine digital design methodologies for the 2nm node.
・Create and verify evaluation cell libraries specifically designed for DTCO analysis and process exploration.
・Drive the continuous update and optimization of cell libraries based on insights and feedback gained through the DTCO process.
・Conduct PPA benchmarking and DTCO through block-level PnR (Place and Route).
・Collaborate closely with EDA vendors and external design partners (contractors) to co-develop and optimize the design environment.
・Establish a world-class design flow and provide technical support to customers.
- Qualifications:
・Proficiency in digital design flows, PPA analysis, and library characterization/verification.
・Experience with advanced process nodes (7nm FinFET and beyond) is preferred but not mandatory.
・Proven ability to work effectively with external stakeholders, including EDA vendors and design service partners.
