Company Overview
We are a fast-growing logistics and wholesale distribution company based in New Jersey with expanding operations globally. We handle high transaction volumes across multiple accounts and need an organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and provide management with reliable reporting.
Position: Bookkeeper
Type: Full-Time (On-site / Hybrid / Remote – depending on candidate)
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
- Categorize expenses accurately and maintain organized books.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Track vendor payments, customer invoices, and collections.
- Assist with payroll entries and expense reimbursements.
- Work with management and outside accountants during tax preparation and audits.
- Identify and report unusual transactions or discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus).
- Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Experience handling multi-account reconciliations and high-volume transactions.
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive financial data confidentially.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Base Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
