Production Shop Technician (Tualatin)

Learn in-demand production skills and be a part of an advanced manufacturing team! RapidMade, a 3D printing, traditional manufacturing and engineering services firm located in Tualatin, has openings for 2 Shop Technicians. The starting wage is $22 - 24/hour plus bonus, depending on experience, and the work schedule is 40 hours/week plus overtime as needed. New hires may be trained to perform all job duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates 3D printers and sets up repeat orders
• Performs complex part assembly requiring reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, special instructions and complex inspections
• Assembles, bonds and finishes printed tools and complex parts.
• Paints parts and tools.
• Performs basic equipment routine maintenance.
• Can perform Finisher duties including packaging of parts
• Complete production orders as assigned. Ensures orders are delivered on time, below cost, and meets customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Follow job documentation, including travelers and work instructions, to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct basic visual and part caliper inspections to verify part quality.
• Execute quality control (QC) checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications and internal standards.
• Identify, isolate, and report nonconforming parts in accordance with company quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate and consistent workflow tracking of production and communicate job status updates to the Trad. Supervisor.
• Ensure proper handling of parts carefully throughout all stages of processing to prevent damage or quality issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas, including equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures related to additive manufacturing processes.
• Utilize basic job tracking systems/software for order updates and traceability.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies in machining, forming and finishing.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate’s degree or 1-2 years equivalent experience in 3D printing or manufacturing related field.
• Ability to adapt to changing customer requirements and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of machine operations, hand tools and finishing equipment.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities are necessary.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking.
• Able to meet job-specific physical requirements.
