Position Overview
As a RapidLift Livery Driver, you will provide safe, timely, and professional non emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for passengers traveling to and from medical appointments, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and private residences. This role is ideal for someone who values service, patience, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a wheelchair‑accessible minivan with a rear‑entry ramp
- Provide door‑to‑door assistance, ensuring each passenger is secure, comfortable, and treated with dignity
- Transport passengers to medical appointments, therapies, and facility visits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle environment
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with passengers, families, and facility staff
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Complete trip logs and documentation accurately
- Represent RapidLift with professionalism, courtesy, and reliability
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license
- Public Safety License (F,S,V or A Endorsement) — required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate and secure wheelchairs
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor
- Must pass background check and drug screening
