Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct patient registration and verify insurance information accurately.
- Collect necessary documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist patients in completing required forms and answering any questions they may have.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and update patient information as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support administrative tasks as required to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or urgent care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other office software.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
