What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Manager/Dispatcher position at Rapid Transport?
Rapid Transport is currently seeking an experienced logistic dispatcher for inbound/outbound loads.
EXPERIENCE IS A MUST...NO TRAINING AVAILABLE.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Has a strong and developed network of customers
- Assign Drivers to trucks, determine driver routes, destinations, and timelines for the transporting of freight to an assigned destination
- Aid in driver training of DOT compliance and regulations as well as company rules and processes
- Procure loads from customers and aid in providing tender. Negotiate rates with brokers for best gross profit for company.
- Maintains customers updated on delivery status of loads
- Tracks drivers and other necessary information electronically
- Provide support to drivers as needed
- May be in charge of ordering/coordinating regular maintenance of trucks with shop
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience
