The ideal candidate will combine technical testing expertise, strong analytical capability, and a passion for validating mission-critical systems that directly support national objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing across complex data-centric applications hosted in secure AWS IL6 environments.
- Develop and execute automated and manual test cases, scripts, and validation plans to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Prepare, manage, and validate large data sets, including generation of synthetic data or secure transformation of production data for testing.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and cloud specialists to identify issues, validate performance, and ensure compliance with system requirements.
- Isolate, reproduce, and document software defects; coordinate with development teams to verify fixes and confirm issue resolution.
- Review and enhance testing frameworks to support scalability, repeatability, and compliance with mission requirements.
- Participate in agile development cycles and support CI/CD testing automation within DevSecOps environments.
- Contribute to quality metrics reporting and process improvement initiatives to ensure consistent delivery of secure, high-quality solutions.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- 7 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years in software testing and quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Proven experience developing, executing, and maintaining testing plans and automated test scripts.
- Demonstrated success validating complex data workflows and ensuring end-to-end data integrity across distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS-based testing environments, including classified cloud deployments at IL6 .
- Strong understanding of defect management, root cause analysis, and performance validation.
- Experience with test management and automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with agile and DevSecOps methodologies supporting continuous testing and delivery.
- Experience applying STIGs and RMF control validation to testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of data validation tools, version control, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- AWS or QA-related certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, ISTQB Certified Tester).
