Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water, flood, fire, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, ensuring rapid mitigation efforts.
- Conduct thorough assessments of affected areas using hand tools and power tools to determine scope of damage and necessary restoration procedures.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly while transporting equipment and personnel to job sites.
- Perform water extraction, drying, cleaning, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement tasks following strict safety protocols and industry standards.
- Utilize Xactimate software for accurate damage documentation and reporting; prepare detailed estimates for insurance claims.
- Implement cleaning procedures including carpet cleaning and debris removal to restore properties to pre-loss condition.
- Adhere rigorously to safety protocols such as PPE use and respiratory protection during all phases of mitigation work.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, team members, and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction and project efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in restoration industries such as water damage restoration, flood or fire restoration, or mold remediation.
- Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to handle on-call situations effectively.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building materials enhances your ability to assess structural damage accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during stressful situations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, asbestos abatement procedures, and general site safety adherence.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration machinery safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software for damage assessment documentation.
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
