Role SnapshotBased in Britton, South Dakota, this role blends precision programming with hands-on machining. You will convert prints into efficient milling programs, set up machines, and keep production flowing smoothly. Relocation to Britton is welcomed.Your ImpactGenerate and optimize CNC milling programs from engineering drawings and specifications.Set up and run CNC mills, ensuring correct tooling, workholding, and fixturing are in place.Prepare quotes for new parts by analyzing customer prints, material requirements, feeds/speeds, cycle times, and fixturing/tooling needs.Monitor machine behavior and adjust parameters to sustain quality and productivity.Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance.Collaborate with engineering and production to diagnose and resolve machining issues.Maintain thorough records of runs, tooling changes, and maintenance activities.Follow all safety procedures and help reinforce a safe workplace.Toolset & KnowledgeFluency in G-code and M-code.CAD/CAM proficiency; GibbsCam experience preferred.Practical CNC machine setup skills for milling operations.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or CNC programming certification preferred.3–5 years as a CNC programmer with a focus on milling.Detail-oriented problem solver able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Strong communication skills and a team-first approach.
