We are seeking a Hood Fire Suppression Service Technician to join our growing fire protection team. In this role, you'll help protect people, businesses, and property by inspecting, servicing, and maintaining commercial kitchen fire suppression systems and related fire protection equipment.

Experience in fire protection is a plus, but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Install, inspect, test, and service commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
  • Inspect and maintain portable fire extinguishers and related fire protection equipment.
  • Diagnose system issues and perform repairs and component replacements.
  • Complete preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain reliable and code-compliant.
  • Accurately document inspections, service work, and recommendations using a company-provided tablet.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and exceptional service.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and team members to complete work efficiently and on schedule.
  • Stay current with fire protection codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency service requests when needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, and electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Fire suppression experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in active environments throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and at varying heights.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay: $20.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday–Friday.
  • Typical 8-hour daytime shifts.
