Position Summary

Rapid Care Innovation Transport, LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and safety-focused Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services to members traveling to and from medical appointments. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, maintains a strong commitment to safety, and treats every passenger with dignity and respect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely transport members to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and other healthcare locations.
  • Arrive at scheduled pickup locations on time and maintain a high level of punctuality.
  • Assist members with entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices.
  • Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment according to company safety procedures.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding trip status, delays, cancellations, and scheduling updates.
  • Complete all required trip documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate GPS, dispatch software, and company mobile applications as required.
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, broker, and company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and comply with HIPAA privacy requirements.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional customer service at all times.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and immediately notify dispatch of any incidents or accidents.
  • Participate in required company meetings, safety training, and continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum age of 21 years (or as required by insurance).
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous NEMT, medical transportation, customer service, or professional driving experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic smartphone and GPS navigation skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds, with assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to assist passengers using wheelchairs and mobility equipment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand frequently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
  • Some evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required based on operational needs.
