Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) – Cardiology

Rao Heart & Vascular is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice. We are looking for a provider who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, enjoys working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff, and thrives in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse cardiology patient population while working alongside an experienced team committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and outstanding patient experiences.
What You'll Do
As a Cardiology CRNP, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive cardiovascular care by:
- Performing comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and physical examinations
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing both acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including:
- Coronary artery disease
- Heart failure
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Hypertension
- Valvular heart disease
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Developing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medicine
- Adjusting and optimizing cardiac medications
- Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic testing, including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, vascular studies, and ambulatory cardiac monitors
- Providing post-hospitalization and post-procedure follow-up care
- Collaborating closely with cardiologists regarding complex patient management
- Educating patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Coordinating care with primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical record documentation
- Contributing to an efficient clinic workflow while delivering an exceptional patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Cardiology experience preferred (new graduates with strong cardiovascular interest may be considered)
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus)
