- Coordinates pick-ups and deliveries (domestic / international), including prepping the necessary paperwork
- Schedules and manages outside warehousing, including intracompany transfers and associated transportation
- Manages and onboards vendors to support procurement of storage trailers (customer safety tock program)
- Determines appropriate shipment methods
- Partners with leadership regarding logistic strategy development
- Qualifies logistics suppliers, conducts annual RFP, and maintains carrier lists
- Manages pricing with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Controls costs: evaluates shipments, consolidates loads, and selects cost-efficient shipment methods
- Analyzes freight charges and prepares reporting
- Audits and assigns general ledger codes to all freight vendor invoices
- Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices
- Uses specialized knowledge to solve higher complexity problems
- Acts as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, operations, and supply chain departments
- Develops and maintains logistics procedures and task tracking
- Reviews internal/customer issues in relation to logistics and acts to ensure they are resolved
- Investigates, evaluates, and settles customer complaints and freight claims
- Ensures compliance with established logistics policies and procedures
- Manages Ranpak item list and the appropriate freight class, NMFC, and harmonized codes
- Ensures that all Ranpak US imports/exports comply with US regulations for valuation
- Other duties as assigned
- 4 years logistics experience, including supervisory role
- International freight management experience, including customs regulations, tariffs, harmonized codes, etc.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related course of study
- Warehouse and operations functional experience
- Experience with a manufacturing company that has a global footprint and supply chain
- Logistics software experience / working knowledge (TMS)
- SAP experience

- Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time
- Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic
