What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cycle Counter position at Ranpak?
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily/weekly cycle counts for raw materials (paper rolls), components, and finished goods
- Accurately record and reconcile inventory data within SAP or ERP system
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records
- Analyze root causes of variances (production usage, scrap, receiving issues, etc.)
- Partner with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to correct inaccuracies
- Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain documentation and compliance with inventory control procedures
- Assist with annual physical inventory and audits
- Support process improvements related to material tracking and usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- Experience in inventory control within manufacturing (paper, packaging, or converting a plus)
- SAP or ERP system experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy skills
- Ability to analyze discrepancies and problem-solve effectively
- Proficiency with Excel or inventory reporting tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
