Upper School:
Ranney School seeks an Upper School JV Boys Basketball Head Coach for the 2025 - 2026 High School Basketball Season.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience playing and coaching basketball, and knowledge of all NFHS and NJSIAA basketball rules and compliance.
NJSIAA Coaching Requirements:
- 30 College Credits
- NJ DOE Substitute Certification
- CPR/AED First Aid Certification

- A growth mindset for oneself and one’s student-athletes
- Collegial interactions with opponents, coaches, referees, and spectators
- Consistent communication with student-athletes, coaching staff, and parents of student-athletes
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Head Coach of JV Boys Basketball Team. Plan and execute all JV practices and game day management. Travel with the team to all away games
- Assist the Varsity Head Coach on Game Day with the Varsity Team as directed by the head coach
- Manage daily communication with JV boys basketball student-athletes and parents regarding all aspects of the team’s schedule
- Collaborate with the Varsity Basketball Head Coach in all aspects of the program
- Reports to the Athletic Director
- The New Jersey High School Basketball season begins on Monday November 24th 2025. The JV Boys Basketball season will end in mid February and the Varsity season ends on March 14th 2026.
