Job Purpose
- In keeping a tradition of excellence, the purpose of the Child Nutrition Maintenance Supervisor is to maintain all school cafeteria equipment to be in a condition of operating excellence so that full use of it may be utilized at all times. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Maintain F5 equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs, electrical, refrigeration and general repairs
- Maintain facilities through carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general repair projects
- Keep repair sites clean and safe
- Care for tools and equipment by proper use and by practicing preventive maintenance procedures
- Inform the Child Nutrition Supervisor of needed supplies and equipment
- Collect and transport needed supplies and equipment to repair sites
- Assist the Child Nutrition Supervisor with cost estimates on minor repairs
- Promptly assist with emergency repairs
- Responsible for driving and upkeep of department van and pickup
- Responsible for yearly cleaning of cafeteria vent-a-hoods
- Attend training sessions to keep current on F5 equipment, maintenance, and upkeep
- Maintain and repair of gas appliances
- Knowledge of 480, 240, and 208 circuitry
- Lead and attend staff meetings/trainings as applicable; serve on staff committees
- Maintain and accept responsibility for any district owned fixed asset item assigned to employee and ensure appropriate use by following district policies for acceptable use
- Undergo periodic evaluations according to state and board policy procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Regular, dependable, in person, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
- Perform such other and not specifically enumerated duties as may be requested by the Board of Education, superintendent, administrator, director or established by district policy
- Read, understand, and abide by Employee Conduct Policy, GAB, all other District, State and Federal policies, and procedures and protocols as established by RCSD and the Mississippi Educator Code of Conduct
- Education Level:
- Certification: Freon certified
- Other Requirements: Knowledge of refrigeration, F5 equipment and electrical, gas appliances
