What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Telephone Triage Nurse position at Rankin Children's Group?
Pediatric Telephone Triage Nurse is responsible for providing telephone, triage and medical advice to patients across a range of medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical and communication skills to ensure the provision of quality patient care. This telephone triage nurse position will handle patient messages, scheduling appointments via EMR patient portal along with patient care phone calls coming into the clinic, clinic referrals and PA's. This position will be trained and provide direct patient care when needed during day clinic. You will be required to work our After Hour Clinic 1 night a week along with 1 Saturday a month.
The Telephone Triage Nurse must be organized, reliable and have the ability to effectively manage multiple calls and work in EMR all at once. The individual will need to have a solid understanding of assessment techniques and medical protocols of the practice. The position is a key part of the health care team and requires dedication and expertise to deliver high quality telephone and EMR portal responses. Call center experience is a plus.
Qualifications & Skills
Licensed RN or LPN, Previous experience in a telephone triage or medical call center role, Pediatric clinical nursing experience preferred, proficient computer skills and comfort with EMR technologies, willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
