JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department and ensure efficient operations. The HR Generalist will handle daily HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with state and federal laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA).
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviews, background checks, and onboarding.
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollment, claims resolution, and communication with providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Support performance management processes including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and employment issues.
- Ensure compliance with Missouri employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping as needed.
- Participate in internal audits and assist with policy updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
- Knowledge of Missouri labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred (but not required).
Work Environment:
- Office setting with occasional travel to other sites or training sessions within Missouri.
- May require occasional evening or weekend availability for special projects or events.
- Reports to the Controller
