Nursing Shower Aide

Rangely District Hospital has a nursing opening for a Shower Aide This is a Part-Time position, working 20 hours per week.

The primary responsibility is to assist residents/patients with showers and related care.

Provides personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation Also assists with the activity program.

Answers call lights and responds to patient’s needs.

Obtains and documents vital signs as ordered.

Participates in the orientation of new staff members.

Maintains patient documentation, including ADLs, activities, intake/output, meals, and snacks.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including in the emergency room.

Hourly Wage: $15.00- $16.00

Job Specifications:

• High School Graduate or GED.
• CPR Certification.
• Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing, walking, lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients, lift supplies/equipment, considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Knowledge of using all medical equipment, including, but not limited to, a cardiac monitor, BP machine, blood warmer, hypothermia blanket, Hoyer, and vera lift.
• Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances Will be exposed to patient elements May be exposed to bloodborne, droplet or airborne diseases Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness) Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. May be subjected to irregular hours.
• Possible exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials
