Job Summary: Rangefront Mining Services is seeking motivated and dependable Field Geo-technicians to support mineral exploration and field operations. This position focuses on hands-on fieldwork including soil sampling, claim staking, site support, and assisting geologists with data collection and project execution.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically capable, and comfortable working in remote, rugged environments under varying field conditions. This is an entry-level role with opportunities to gain experience in mineral exploration and advance within the industry.


Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all company and site-specific safety protocols in all situations
• Collect soil samples and ensure accurate data recording according to established procedures
• Locate, mark, and stake mining claims as directed
• Assist geologists with geophysical surveys and hazard mitigation (e.g., fencing, closures)
• Perform reclamation work associated with mineral exploration projects
• Navigate to remote locations using GPS, maps, and field navigation tools
• Travel to and camp in remote field locations for extended periods
• Hike several miles daily over steep, rugged terrain
• Lift up to 80 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs over long distances
• Safely operate ATVs and company vehicles in challenging terrain and weather conditions
• Work in adverse weather conditions, variable schedules, and extended hours
• Complete tasks both independently and as part of a team
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of field operations

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (degree in geology or related field is a plus but not required)
• Interest in mining, geology, or outdoor fieldwork
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures
• Basic ability to use maps, GPS units, and field equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred:

• Coursework or experience in geology, environmental science, or related field
• Prior outdoor labor, construction, or fieldwork experience
• Experience operating ATVs
• Experience camping and working in remote outdoor environments
• Skilled in off-road driving and navigating rugged terrain
• CPR certified (or ability to obtain certification)
• Experience operating and maneuvering trailers

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in remote and rugged environments
• Ability to hike long distances and navigate uneven terrain
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as outlined above
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation

Work Environment:

• This position is primarily field-based and requires travel to remote project sites. Work may involve camping for extended periods and operating in areas with limited access to amenities.
