Experienced Metal Fabricator/Welder

Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled Metal Fabricators to join our team. The ideal candidates will have experience working with various hand tools and equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and specific requirements. We operate on a 4x10 shift schedule 6:00 - 4:30 Monday through Thursday with periodic overtime opportunities on Friday.

Essential Functions Include:

• Comply with all safety requirements to maintain safe work area for you and your co-workers
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions or diagrams to perform assigned tasks
• Conduct basic mathematical calculations for measurements and dimensions
• Set up and operate welding equipment using MIG/FCAW/GMAW/GTAW on various metal types and thicknesses with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform cutting operations using oxy-propylene and/or plasma and automated band saw
• Complete welding and/or fabrication to project specs
• Utilize hand tools, pipe threading, rigging, cranes, and welding equipment to fabricate metal components
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

Skills Include:

• High School Diploma with appropriate experience or 2-year welding diploma or degree program from a community college or technical program or work experience directly related to Welding, Manufacturing and/or Steel Fabrication
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Proficient at fabricating, welding and plasma cutting
• Proficient blueprint reading skills and utilizing various measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
• Experienced using press brake, plate rolls and iron worker, overhead cranes and jib cranes
• Ability to work well with others and provide coaching and constructive feedback when appropriate
• Available to reliably work standard shift schedule
• Able to effectively set up welding equipment for various weld processes, sizes and material types
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Physical Requirements

Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
