We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who is excited by the opportunity to build relationships, develop new markets, and introduce innovative solutions to Michigan's surveying, engineering, and AEC communities.
What You'll Own
You'll be responsible for growing Range Mapping's presence across Michigan by developing relationships with surveying firms, civil engineering firms, construction companies, and public agencies.
You'll own the full business development lifecycle:
- Building and maintaining strategic client relationships
- Identifying and qualifying opportunities
- Developing and managing a healthy sales pipeline
- Collaborating with technical teams to scope projects and develop solutions
- Coordinating proposals and pricing
- Guiding opportunities from first conversation through contract execution
- Converting first projects into long-term client relationships
- While you'll inherit existing accounts and active opportunities, you'll also play a key role in building the systems, processes, and pipeline that support Range Mapping's continued growth.

What You'll Bring
- 5 years of business development, account management, or technical sales experience
- Experience selling technical, project-based services to surveying, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or public sector clients
- A demonstrated ability to build and grow long-term client relationships
- Experience managing opportunities from prospecting through contract execution
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing and managing a CRM pipeline
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
- Willingness to travel throughout Michigan to meet clients and build relationships
We Would be Excited to See
- Experience with aerial mapping, LiDAR, photogrammetry, geospatial technology, or surveying services
- Existing relationships within Michigan's surveying, engineering, or AEC communities
- Knowledge of geospatial data collection methodologies and mapping technologies
- Familiarity with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, surveying workflows, or related technical environments
- Professional certifications such as PS, PE, GISP, ASPRS, or FAA Part 107
- Experience using AI tools to improve research, preparation, and client engagement
