The Purchasing Coordinator supports the procurement process by managing purchase orders, vendor communication, and inventory replenishment. This role ensures timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies, material content regulations, and tariff/compliance requirements.
Essential Tasks:
- Create, review, and process purchase orders within RK systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid out of stocks or overstock.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
- Track and expedite orders to meet production and operational timelines.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Ensure material content compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PFAS, PTFE, Lead & Cadmium, sustainability, and recycling).
- Verify tariff compliance and proper classification of goods for import/export documentation.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating vendor performance.
- Frequently collaborate with Operations to ensure timely appropriate levels of available inventory.
- Support compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Other related tasks as required by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in purchasing or procurement.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, ERP systems, and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with material content standards and tariff classifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- High Computer literacy
