Are you an experienced benefits professional with a strong understanding of HRIS systems, benefits compliance, and employee support? We are looking for a Contract Senior Benefits Specialist to support our Total Rewards Analysts in managing health and welfare benefits across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. This is a critical role in the Human Resources department that requires expertise in benefits administration, compliance, and vendor management.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in benefits administration
- 5 years of experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
- Strong ability to provide high-level customer service for escalated cases
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Total Rewards Analysts to understand benefits processes and compliance requirements
- Serve as point of contact for Tier 1 (Benefit Specialist) inquiries
- Provide Tier 2 support for Benefit Analyst cases and tickets
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate benefit data and payroll deductions
- Respond to vendor and carrier inquiries
- Monitor and update Knowledge Base Articles
- Process invoices and resolve vendor and internal department escalations
- Assist with annual enrollment and year-end processes, including 1095 reporting
- Run reports and perform data audits as needed
- Compile data for benefits surveys
- Provide additional administrative and analytical support as needed
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years in senior-level benefits administration
- Experience managing third-party benefits vendors
- Subject Matter Expert in benefit plans, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA
- Working knowledge of FMLA, 401(k), Medicare (preferred)
- Experience with various benefits administration systems
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Highly collaborative, able to prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to change while meeting deadlines
- Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
