Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications, including moderate sedation, as directed by the physician.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Float between Cath Lab, SDS, and PACU as needed to support patient flow and departmental needs.
- Participate in on-call rotation (7–10 call days in a 4-week period).
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Pennsylvania (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, PACU, or SDS settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
