Job Description & Requirements
- Specialty: Perioperative
- Discipline: RN
- Start Date: 09/22/2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, days
- Employment Type: Travel
- Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
- Available to take on average 7-9 days of call per month with 20 minute response time to hospital
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening
- Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and the ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances
- Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus
- Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU
- Be skilled in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating all General, Ortho, & O.B. cases (C-sections!!)
- Be available to help in TRAUMA cases in the E.R.
- Be skilled at a level that he/she feels confident in caring for surgical patients in the middle of the night as the only O.R. nurse in house during emergency call cases.
