Job Title: Pharmacist
About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team in Wrangell, Alaska.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing patient medical histories, lab results, and medication orders using their in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences.
In addition, they will need to have unerring knowledge of state and federal laws governing pharmacy practice.
This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Requirements
- Degree and licensure as a registered pharmacist (D. degree)
- Candidates licensed prior to 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree will be considered with 3 years of experience in hospital and/or ambulatory clinic pharmacy
- Unrestricted license as a registered pharmacist in any state
- Completion of a nationally recognized (by ASHP) pharmacy residency program preferred
Responsibilities
- Review patient medical histories, lab results, and medication orders
- Filling prescriptions requires unerring knowledge of state and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Provide care appropriate to the needs of patients of all ages
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Work cooperatively within the health system and pharmacy staff
