Position Summary
The Dishwasher is an essential part of our catering kitchen team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. You will ensure our chefs and staff always have clean, sanitized dishes, utensils, and equipment ready for use, contributing to the smooth operation of catering events and daily kitchen activities.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and equipment safely.
- Keep dish area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Dispose of trash, recycling, and compost according to company standards.
- Assist with sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
- Support kitchen staff with light prep or organizational tasks when needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Certification.
- Availability: Open availability is preferred, but candidates with time constraints will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with hot water, cleaning chemicals, and steam.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for 6–8 hour shifts.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications and Characteristics
- High School diploma
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read and understand simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
- Must have a working phone that can be used to clock in or receive text messages,
- Must be able to complete work in a timely, organized manner.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
- Must be able to interact positively with staff and other third parties.
- Serve Safe Certification (food handlers)
Essential Physical Functions:
- Ability to sit, see, hear, and speak for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand, squat, crouch and lift arms above head.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift 501bs.
- Must be able to be in water and cleaning chemicals 8 hours a day
- Must be able to work Dishwashing machine and able to withstand steam
- Must be able to Grip equipment with both hands if needed.
Salary : $17 - $20
