The Hand Sewer plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality leather goods and upholstery in a factory setting. This position involves meticulous hand sewing, fabric cutting, and pattern assembly on a large assembly line team. The ideal candidate is skilled in various stitching techniques and dedicated to maintaining excellent tool condition, ensuring each product meets quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform hand sewing on leather goods and upholstery items
- Assemble patterns accurately following design specifications
- Cut fabrics including leather, suede, synthetic materials, cotton, and linen
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Apply appropriate stitching techniques to various materials
- Maintain and care for sewing tools and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in hand sewing
- Strong manual dexterity
- Ability to work effectively as part of a large assembly line team
