Production/Service Technician

Are you looking for a new career? We have a production/service technician job available in Kingsport, TN. This position is temp to hire. You will be working on the production floor for training and then moving into service work. When you are not traveling you will also be helping in production. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will initially focus on production tasks, with training provided for all specialized equipment and techniques. Once fully trained, the role will expand to include service work.

Production and Fabrication

• Measure and Prepare Materials: Accurately read and understand a tape measure to perform precise material measurement, cutting, and preparation.
• Process and Finish Product: Operate equipment to measure, cut, heat set, finish, and package final products according to specifications. Training will be provided.
• Documentation and Compliance: Understand and follow written work orders or production sheets diligently. Previous experience reading production orders or technical drawings is a significant plus.
• Quality Control: Inspect product at various stages to ensure all quality standards and specifications are consistently met.
• Tool Use: Safely and effectively operate basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, utility knives).

Service and Field Work (After Training)

• Mechanical Troubleshooting: Apply mechanical aptitude to perform service work, installation, and repairs on products at client sites.
• Travel: Must be able to travel as required for service calls.
• Aptitude: Must be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
• Technical Skill: Must be able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

The essential functions of this role include:
