Electrical / Mechanical Technician

We are currently hiring an Electrical Mechanical Technician in New Bedford, MA. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical production equipment. Weekend shift positions are currently available. This is a permanent position with our client.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild all types of complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled production equipment.
• Plan work for proper operational sequences, minimize interference, and delay of production.
• Perform preventive maintenance as directed by equipment schedule.
• Rebuild electrical mechanical devices.
• Test, Calibrate, and repair electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to establish standards, and assist in formulating calibrating standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma is required.
• 3 years of electrical experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and blueprints.
