Automated Test Technician

Role Overview

This is a hands-on lab-based Test Technician role supporting testing operations, lab management, and system uptime. The position blends lab organization, test execution, and basic technical troubleshooting to ensure efficient and continuous testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage lab organization, cleanliness, and equipment layout (set-up/tear-down, cabling, storage)
• Support test execution on ultrasound systems and simulators to maintain high uptime
• Perform test setup, monitoring, and run-time oversight
• Handle software installs and system configuration updates (new builds, OS loading)
• Assist with transporting equipment/materials and maintaining lab inventory
• Troubleshoot test failures, install issues, and system performance problems

Technical Requirements

Must Have:

• Basic understanding of:
• Computer systems, ports, and configurations
• Troubleshooting and root cause identification
• Experience with:
• Software installation and system setup
• Debugging tools (e.g., Notepad, VS Code)

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to test environments, lab operations, or engineering labs
• Knowledge of QMS and structured testing processes

Core Competencies

• Strong technical troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision and high autonomy
• Effective communication with engineers and cross-functional teams

Experience & Education

• High School Diploma or Vocational Training required
• ~2 years in:
• R&D environment
• Engineering lab or similar technical setting
