General Role
Supervises inventory control staff, ensures adequate material levels, manages highly transactional processes, and contributes to process development.
Core Functions
Establishing and coordinating weekly inventory counts, spot audits, and quality audits; providing daily analysis; spot-auditing warehouse personnel (unloading, receiving, etc.); and interacting with supervisors for corrective action.
Must-Haves
High School Diploma/GED, 3 years related work experience, 2 years supervisory experience, strong audit/communication/organizational skills, and thorough knowledge of operational business.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand/sit for long periods, frequently lift/move 50 pounds.
Key Responsibilities in Brief:
- Supervision: Leading the inventory control staff.
- Scheduling: Establishing and publishing inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
- Coordination: Communicating schedules with Warehouse Supervisors.
- Analysis: Providing daily written/electronic analysis of audit results.
- Auditing: Spot auditing the full range of warehouse activities (receiving, locating, shipping, etc.).
- Process Improvement: Identifying trends and working with supervisors on corrective actions.
