Role Summary:
Randstad USA is hiring a Chemical Supervisor for a full-time, direct hire opportunity at a growing manufacturing company. This role is critical to compounding and finishing operations, ensuring every batch meets quality, safety, and compliance requirements. Ideal for candidates with 4 years of experience in chemical or industrial production leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise chemical compounding and finishing team on assigned shift
- Review and adjust production schedules and team assignments to meet throughput goals
- Ensure raw materials and inventory are correct before changeovers
- Coach, mentor, and manage team members — address performance issues and drive improvement
- Conduct safety, quality, and housekeeping walkthroughs throughout the shift
- Implement process improvements to boost efficiency, reduce errors, and elevate product quality
- Monitor team’s time and attendance for accuracy
- Partner with other departments (QA, Operations, EHS) to ensure alignment and resolve challenges
- Document and maintain compliance standards throughout the production cycle
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, batch records, and regulatory expectations
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (chemical, food, or pharma preferred)
- Experience leading teams and enforcing production, quality, and safety standards
- Strong understanding of compounding, batching, and finishing processes
- Skilled in conflict resolution, team development, and scheduling
- Able to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift
- Willing to work extended hours during peak production seasons
Preferred:
- 6 years in a chemical, cosmetic, or food-grade production environment
- Experience in batch process improvement and audit readiness
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or ISO practices a plus
