The Network Administrator will implement, maintain, and support our clients growing network infrastructure. This role will also collaborate closely with our corporate security team to design and build robust security controls.

responsibilities:
The Network Administrator will support the organization as follows:
- Implementation: Deploy products, platforms, software, hardware, or appliance-based solutions related to network and network security.
- Support & Maintenance: Provide first-level technical support to users concerning network operations. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems with network equipment, perform equipment repairs or upgrades when appropriate, and consistently monitor network stability and performance.
- Security & Audits: Monitor the organization's networks for security breaches, investigate violations when they occur, participate in IT security audits, and ensure required controls are implemented.
- Collaboration: Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Use network tools for administration, maintenance, automation, and visualization reporting. Develop technical documentation describing the deployment, configuration, and management of network infrastructure.
- Flexibility: Maintain the capability to handle on-call responsibilities.
qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, specifically configuring and installing various network devices and services.
- Education: B.S./M.S. in Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends and handle on-call responsibilities.
Core Technical Skills
- Network Components: Proven experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
- Protocols & Technologies: Strong LAN/WAN technical skills with L2 and L3 protocols, including:
o STP, 802.1q, VPC, 802.1x
o IPSec, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Cisco IOS-XE and NXOS.
- Supported Platforms: Familiarity with various enterprise platforms, including:
o Cisco (Catalyst, ISR, ASR, Nexus)
o Aruba Wireless
o F5
o Riverbed
