What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Field Technician position at Randstad Digital?
MUST already be local to the Madison area. No relocation is allowed. This is a 100% onsite position with no remote work.
Travel: Will be based in NE Madison, however this tech will also be working at various facilities assisting other field technicians with projects and problem tickets. When traveling to other facilities the tech will be paid mileage .51 cents per mile and their hourly wage for travel time. When working at headquarters they are not paid mileage and for travel time. May also have the option to drive a company vehicle (if the candidate has a good driving record).
Hours: 40 hours per week with option to work 4 ten hours days with Friday offs, to work 5 eight-hour days or could also work 9 day 9 hours two-week schedule with one Friday off per two-week time period. Candidate must have ability to work a flexible schedule and days lasting longer than 8 hours.
Looking for an IT Field Technician with good desktop troubleshooting skills and great customer service. Any AV integration experience is a plus for candidates. Ability to travel state-wide to facilities assisting the regular field tech with project and problem tickets once every few weeks.

responsibilities:
- In charge of repairing and maintaining thousands of desktops, laptops and other PC devices.
- Installing new PC's and laptops to replace end of life cycle equipment. The technician will be doing those tasks while maintaining inventory and properly disposing of outdated equipment by recycling those items per company policies.
- Maintain and close work orders in the ticketing system. The technician receives oversight from the Field Tech Manager to ensure that policy, procedure and methodology are being followed.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- 2 years of remote troubleshooting experience
- 2 years of experience in customer service/interaction with users during device setup
- 2 years of experience Imaging Devices
- The candidate will need to have the ability to carry 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours. This may not be required daily, but it is a requirement.
Nice to Have:
- Any AV integration experience
- Must be able to work independently but in a team environment.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task and balance their workday.
