Project Manager II

Job Summary

Must be a current resident of Wisconsin. This role is ideal for an advanced project manager who can also excel as a business analyst. The position requires a highly analytical, self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and adapts easily to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project charters, project plans and other project artifacts to include scope, timeline, resources, and budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review project updates and gather feedback.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational goals.
• Manage project documentation, including status reports, schedules, and risk logs.
• Foster clear communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Support change management processes to ensure smooth project transitions and adoption.
• Oversee project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and industry tools.
• Direct, hands-on experience managing large-scale IT projects involving multiple technical resources and diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience creating technical specifications and system designs for custom application development.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to prioritize work and meet strict project objectives.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence (BI) tools to build executive reports and dynamic dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and adapt to changing priorities effectively.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Jira Service Management, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, and related collaboration software.
• Prior experience working in government or public sector IT environments.
