Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management & System Administration
- Lead the management and maintenance of hybrid IT environments, including both Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and Windows servers.
- Oversee core Windows services, including Microsoft 365, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Implement and manage automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash scripts) for configuration management and patching.
- Monitor server performance, availability, and backups to ensure high uptime and reliability (MTTR/FCR).
- Maintain virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and core networking components (firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches).
- Administer and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure (including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, and Backup).
- Manage cloud workload cost, performance, scaling, and robust disaster recovery planning.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Implement and manage identity services: Azure AD, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Establish, implement, and maintain IT security policies and procedures aligned with industry standards.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and manage security audits.
- Oversee endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and incident response workflows.
- Provide technical leadership, define and run a metrics program (MTTR, FCR), and coach IT staff.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation for system architecture, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and compliance teams.
- 7 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration.
- 3 years of proven experience in a technical leadership or IT management role.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise managing hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Deep, practical experience in Linux and Windows server administration.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration and AWS infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to design and enforce security frameworks and access controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with specific security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.
- Experience with Ubuntu Linux distribution.
