Job Summary:
We have a 1 year contract oportunity for a Business Analyst in Sacramento, CA. This role will require 2 weeks onsite for training and then will be fully remote.
This role partners with business relationship owners, IS delivery teams, subject matter experts, and customers to gather, evaluate, and document business and functional requirements across the service delivery lifecycle from idea through implementation and support. Duties include conducting interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, workflow analysis, use case development, process mapping, and business requirements documentation. The analyst will help reconcile conflicting information, clarify true business needs, translate technical issues into business language, support application and process issue resolution, and contribute to continuous service improvement efforts. This is a remote assignment with two weeks of required on-site training

Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
Experience With Business Requirements Gathering, Documentation, And Functional Specifications
Experience with workflow analysis, data flow modeling, functional decomposition, and use cases
Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements and system/process solutions
Experience partnering with business relationship owners, IS delivery teams, SMEs, and customers
Proficiency in presentation, word processing, spreadsheet applications, and standard analysis tools
Ability to work independently with moderate direction and collaborate across departments
Strong verbal, written communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Continual Service Improvement (CSI) or continuous service improvement efforts
Conceptual knowledge of Lean methodologies and process improvement practices
Experience with Microsoft Visio, workflow tools, Business Relationship Management, or project methodology
Experience supporting business cases, statements of work, KPIs, benefits, and lifecycle documentation
Ability to facilitate group sessions and build consensus with stakeholders
Experience working in Information Services, managed care, health plan, or enrollment environments
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
