Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to acutely ill patients, and assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Is able to perform general nurse assistant duties in all departments with adequate supervision. High school graduate or equivalent. Current listing on the Nurse Aide registry in North Carolina. Successful completion of basic BCLS. Ability to read and communicate in English. Additional languages preferred. Knowledge of clinical departments of the hospital. Prior hospital/health care experience preferred.
