Part-Time Library Assistant Franklinville/Seagrove

Description

Performs intermediate administrative support work at the circulation desk, cataloging materials, preparing materials for circulation and providing assistance to library patrons, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the division head or branch manager.

Minimum Education And Experience

High school diploma or GED with coursework in business, or related field and one (1) to two (2) years’ experience working in an administrative support position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This part-time position offers the opportunity to work at TWO Randolph County Public Library locations. The Library Assistant position is 24 hours/week and includes retirement.

Work time will take place at Franklinville Public Library and Seagrove Public Library.

Anticipated Schedule

• Tuesday- 9:30 AM-6:00 PM, at Franklinville
• Wednesday and Thursday- 9:30 AM-6:00 PM, at Seagrove
  
  

Plus, one weekend per month.

• Saturday- 11:00 AM-3:00 PM, at Seagrove
• Sunday- 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, at Franklinville
  
  

Candidates with experience or interest in creating promotional content, providing reader’s advisory, assisting with programs for adults or school aged children and/or taking part in collection development projects are encouraged to apply.

Valid NC Driver's License required.
